The Group EHS Management System is applied worldwide and
sets standards of performance which are beyond legal requirements.
Environmental, Health and Safety is managed at local level
at each of our facilities around the world and is aligned
to the key objectives as set out in the group EHS standard:
- That all locations meet legal and Group EHS requirements.
- That the design, manufacture and supply of products
is undertaken so as to satisfy the highest standards of
environmental, health and safety protection and resource
efficiency.
- That management systems are effective in maintaining
standards and fulfilling the challenge of securing continual
improvement in environmental, health and safety performance.

audits.

In Johnson Matthey Catalysts’ Process Catalysts and
Technologies business, ISO 14001 is implemented at a number
of our facilities worldwide such that over 60% of our staff
work at sites with ISO 14001 accreditation.
Johnson Matthey is a business founded on the recycling of
precious metals and today, the refining of metals remains
central to many of our operations. As a high technology
business operating in growth markets around the world we
believe that we have an important role to play in the promotion
of sound environmental management of the Earth’s resources.
