PURASPEC_JM™  absorbents and process technologies from Johnson Matthey Catalysts provide a simple and effective means of removing undesired impurities from hydrocarbon streams.  PURASPEC_JM technology is designed to provide highly efficient and cost effective polishing of low levels of inorganic impurities from liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon streams.

PURASPEC_JM processes are based on fixed beds of catalysts and chemical absorbents which remove traces of contaminants from hydrocarbon gases and liquids.  In particular the processes remove:

• hydrogen suphide (H₂S)
• carbonyl sulphide (COS)
• mercury
• chlorides
